FINALLY.......it is almost 7pm on Monday night and I can't believe I have just sat down to blog. I have had a very busy day. Deaner's office threw me a surprise shower today at lunch, that I was not expecting. It was so nice and they bought us the highchair that we were registered for. I was completely taken aback! After that Steph and I hit up Ikea where I bought a bookshelf for the baby's room and promptly put it together once I got home. I'm super excited with how it looks. I'll have to post pictures of that another day because I have about 8 million from our trip that I want to share! I'll probably have to break it down into a few days but here it goes. We made it to the airport in Athens in plenty of time on Sunday to catch our flight to Santorini. We were picked up at the airport by our driver without any problems. The above picture is the first glimpse of paradise that I saw when we walked into our hotel. The whole trip seems like it might have been fake because I have never seen a more beautiful place in my life. I hope it doesn't spoil the rest of our trips to come! When we arrived our room wasn't ready so we went for a walk to find a place to eat lunch. We found a place with a rooftop patio and stunning views. We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out by the pool, soaking up the sun and relaxing. The weather was heavenly. The views from hotel room did not disappoint either. We walked to dinner at a restaurant that was recommended by the hotel owner and on the way I got to catch this picture. Can you imagine actually having your WEDDING in Santorini?? Talk about great pictures! We had the most beautiful table for dinner overlooking the water. The only problem? As soon as we sat down Deaner realized that he had forgotten his wallet at the hotel. Nice huh? He had to run back and get it while I waited there saving our table. And they wouldn't serve me a drink until he got back! Semi embaressing but oh well! The food was great and afterwards it was an early night.
Monday morning Deaner got up and went hiking while I parked myself at the pool again for the day. My belly is starting to prevent me from doing things such as hiking but let's be real, I would have rather stayed at the pool anyways! Here are some shots Deaner captured on his hike. After his hike he hung out with me by the pool for the rest of the day. We had lunch delivered to us poolside and got to relax. We were treated to a great sunset before leaving for dinner.I was trying to take a picture of Deaner with the sunset in the background and right as I was about to take the picture the wind literally blew my skirt straight up in the air. Nice.Ha ha! Here is the real one!And a few of us together! It was a really rough few days! :) I'll save the rest of the pictures for the next few days. There are TONS and I haven't even gotten them all on shutterfly yet. The rest of the week was just as awesome and I am not sure I have ever eaten so much feta cheese in my whole life.
Anyways, Deaner is home late from work so it is time to run and eat dinner now that it is almost 8pm. We had a later night last night getting our hair cut over at Steph and Jon's, having a delicious dinner of tenderloin and then playing Phase 10. Tonight I'm sure we will have to go to bed a bit earlier. Happy Monday to everyone!

I think you just posed in front of very large posters. It is too gorgeous.
I am so jealous. I want to go there asap. Will you save all your hotel stuff for me. Can I fly to Germany and leave J with you while we go? So sweet they hosted a shower for you. That says a lot about the environment he is working in!
