White Cheese Dip Recipe

I just realized that I have been meaning to post this recipe for awhile now and I keep forgetting. Since I have out my recipe book right now I will go ahead and post it. I asked my favorite mexican restaurant in Atlanta, Taxco, how they make their white cheese dip. Since I can pretty much scarf down a bowl of it myself I figured it would be a good idea to learn how to make it here. Here is the recipe. YUM!

White Cheese Dip

2 cups finely grated Land O Lakes White American Cheese (You can find this in the deli section of the grocery store. I normally have them cut me approximately a 1 pound block)
4 oz jalapenos drained and finely chopped
1/2 cup half and half (do NOT use fat free)
2 tablespoons very finely minced onion
1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Put all ingredients into the slow cooker/crock pot on low/medium. Cheese will melt to right consistancy in about 20-25 minutes. If you turn the slow cooker up, be aware of the sides will burn. Serve hot. YUM!!!
