Lord Help Me!

I truly had nothing to write about today until a couple of hours ago. I had absolutely nothing to do today and was dreading the boredom. I cleaned the house a little, played on the computer a little and even put away all the laundry (there was A LOT of it). I have been sort of disappointed that the school hasn't been calling me more to substitute but since I get so nervous to sub anyways, it has been a double edged sword! As I was arriving home from a short walk this afternoon the school called. They asked me to sub tomorrow and of course I said yes. Then she told me that the first half of the day would be for the one on one aide for a special education child. Oh great! What have I gotten myself into now? I obviously have nothing against kids with special needs but I hardly know how to sub anyways. Nor do I know where anything is! I was fairly impressed to hear that all kids with special needs actually get a one on one aide for the entire school year. I just hope I can live up to my duties tomorrow! I keep telling myself that it is only for 3.5 hours so how awful can it be? Anyone with any ENCOURAGING words are welcome to leave them for me! To say that I am nervous is an understatement!

The second part of my day will be spent as the kindergarten aide. I am not as worried about this considering that I have done it before. I just have to get through the day! And then I am subbing for 4th grade on Friday. I'm sure I will be nervous again but I've got to get over it! I'm just trying to think about the money. Surely I will survive, right?

You can do it! It will be a new experience, but I am sure they will tell you what needs to be done and I am sure that the other aides will be close by. Don't worry. You will have a very interesting day tomorrow with special needs and kindergarten all in one!

You're going to be fabulous! I'm sure they'll give you a lot of info about what to do and where things are and the one-on-one format might actually help ease you into it! Good Luck!

You just have to be a grownup. It'll be good for you.

You can do it! Like you said - it's only 3.5 hours for the first part, and you've done Kindergarten before :-)
